Philanthropy & Giving

Philanthropy and charitable giving are deeply ingrained in the traditions and values of Freemasonry. Freemasons believe in the importance of using their resources to improve the lives of others and make a positive impact on the world.
Freemasons also have a long tradition of supporting each other. When a Mason or their family is facing hardship, other members of the fraternity often step in to provide financial or emotional support. This tradition of brotherhood and mutual aid is one of the key pillars of Freemasonry.

LITERACY WILL BE OUR LEGACY

Raising A Reader is an award-winning literacy program. Its unique model provides a rotation of high-quality books to children, along with parent education around the importance of book sharing and its role in literacy development. By participating in Raising A Reader, families can boost brain development, healthy family relationships, a love for reading, and crucial literacy skills.

Masons 4 Mits

Each year, regional teams of Masonic lodges compete to purchase high-quality leather baseball mitts for children who participate in charitable baseball programs. Now in its 15th year, California Masons have raised more than $1.7 million – 89,000 plus mitts!

The charitable baseball programs offered through the Major League Baseball teams provide sports instruction, a safe place to play, help developing teamwork skills, and guidance on health, nutrition, study skills, and more.

HERE FOR OUR BROTHERS, ALWAYS

Since 1898, California Masons have turned to the Masonic Homes of California for critical relief at their hour of greatest need. Today, the Masonic Homes continues that commitment to helping our vulnerable brothers and widows live in a safe and secure community of Masons. We provide vital services for Masonic family members of all ages, statewide.
